PREVIEW: Tortoise to Tour Perth

Influential Chicago post-rockers Tortoise are heading to Perth on December 10, playing at the Rosemount Hotel.

In Tortoise's 25 years together, their influence can’t be overstated. Along with Slint, they’re frequently considered as forefathers to the post-rock genre, and their sound can be heard from Do Make Say Think to Explosions in the Sky. Their latest album, The Catastrophist, is their first in nearly seven years and highlights their sprawling, experimental tendencies. It’s also their first to include vocals, with Yo La Tengo and Todd Rittman of U.S. Maple contributing their vocal talents.
