PREVIEW: Iconic Metal Crew Deftones to Bring Gore Tour to Perth

PREVIEW: Iconic Metal Crew Deftones to Bring Gore Tour to Perth

With this year’s Gore, their first album since the death of bassist Chi Cheng, Deftones finally nailed the balance between their atmospheric and heavy sides by marrying the two together rather than segregating them to different tracks. The album (their first to top the ARIA charts) pushed the boundaries of their sound and has received widespread acclaim from critics. Since its release, the alt-metal titans have been embarking on a world tour, which included playing inside a dormant volcano at an Icelandic music festival.

The band have not graced our shores since their stint at the fateful Big Day Out festival of 2014, but it’s now our turn! The iconic Californians will perform in Perth at Metro City on November 8- the first show of their national tour. Joining them will be Perth’s own Karnivool, who are set to release their eagerly anticipated fourth album soon. Fellow Perthians Voyager will also perform to a home crowd on the night.

Listen to Gore single "Hearts/Wires" below. Tickets are still available, so grab them while you can. It’s going to be an epic night.
