Craig Silvey’s generation defining book finally gets the film adaptation it deserves this month as the classic coming of age story hits the big screen. Directed by well-known aussie director Rachel Perkins (Bran Nue Day, One Night the Moon), Jasper Jones is a treat for anyone who has grown up reading the fantastic book.


Kong: Skull Island

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts

Release Date: March 9th at all mainstream cinemas

The blockbusters keep rolling in for march with the next instalment in the always adventure packed king kong series. The newest take on the mighty ape sees Hollywood royalty Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson and beautiful man, Tom Hiddleston venture deep into the jungle to discover who is really king of the island. Met with rave reviews and early predictions that it will be a box office smash, Kong: Skull Island seems like the perfect movie to get excited about.  


Loving

Directed by Jeff Nichols

Release Date: March 16th at Luna Cinemas

 Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton play Mildred and Richard Loving, the real-life interracial couple whose marriage in 1958 placed them in the crosshairs of the vindictive Virginia anti-miscegenation laws. Nominated for an academy award, Negga’s haunting role alone is enough reason to choose this film to be the one you to cry to this month. A beautiful piece of cinema.


Beauty and The Beast

Directed by Bill Condon

Release Date: March 23rd at all mainstream cinemas

After many months of anticipation and Emma Watson fan-girling it is finally here! The live-action adaption of the tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast arrives at the end of the month promising as much magic as the original.  The most exciting movie on our list, here at Isolated Nation, we truly can’t wait.
