Noodle Palace to return and set-up at Elizabeth Quay

After several years of the now outgrown Central TAFE rooftop, the award-winning pop-up event will take over Betty's backyard from January 19 to February 15, with the fresh outdoor space and idyllic river landing set to once more capture the essence of summer in Perth and FRINGE WORLD 2018.

Remaining true to its FRINGE WORLD roots, Noodle Palace will feature two performance spaces in a 250-seat theatre called Elizabeth's Palace, and a 300-seat big top known as Circus Palace.

A new double-decker rooftop sky deck bar with sweeping views of the Perth skyline and Swan River will complement the return of the iconic and expansive Feral Palace Bar, with both serving up a mixture of beer, wine and cocktails crafted for the summer season.

To satisfy the most regal of appetites, one can expect to enjoy house-eats served up by beloved local restaurant Lucky Chan's who will be bringing their stalls Bao Wow (bao, dumplings, udon noodles) and What The Cluck  (wood-fired chicken & chips).

To keep things interesting, a precession of food-stalls and trucks will rotate through the venue, with those lined up to set-up shop including Hotline HoagiesGusto GelatoGrilled to the MacComida do Sul and Gary's Diner Cheeseburger Truck.

For something a little different - punters can head to Dazza's Deck, complete with a custom-built snags & cans bar, before indulging in a hit of table tennis - because there's nothing better than grabbing a sausage sizzle and washing it down with a frosty can of Perth Local lager. If you're lucky you might even come across Darryl himself.

With a nod to mod-oz intertwined with Perth summer and the concept of an outdoor oasis, the venue will be crafted and dressed with ample space to relax, dance and soak up the sunset, stars and skyline. For a more surreal sojourn, a custom-built hanging lounge garden will provide a contrasting escape.

For the adventurous and bold, Séance is an intense sonic performance that lasts for 15 startling minutes inside a pitch-black shipping container. Revel in your sixth sense - you never know what you might encounter.

Launching with a live music party each night across opening weekend, and programming Tuesday through Sunday, it’s the perfect reason to gather your mates and soak up the atmosphere at Elizabeth Quay and get acquainted with your new home this summer.

Full lineups for a mix of dates including a packed opening weekend, Australia Day and Australia Day Eve events will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
