EVENTS: ICE CREAM FACTORY
Perth’s newest venue and first ‘micro-festival’ has opened up just as temperature soared above 30 degrees this weekend. Situated on the green corner at Roe and Lake Street, the venue sprawls from a central outdoor space into an adjoining warehouse and winds it was upstairs to reveal several custom built rooftop bars and decks. The large indoor dancefloor with two bars also has some unexpected additions including bowling lanes, a gaming corner and a silent disco.
The brainchild of event activators BarPop and several brick and mortar players including Mechanics’ Institute, The Dominion League, Paramount, The Court and El Grotto, Ice-Cream Factory delivers a venue unique to the Perth scene. With several bars and as well as food options, Ice Cream Factory provides an ideal option for chilled out after-work drinks in the sun.
As a bonus, for the first time in Australia, UberEATS is on board – available on demand direct from the ‘UberEATS Food Zone’ making food options at The Factory practically endless and erasing the need for a greasy Northbridge kebab on your way home.
Grab tickets for any of the ticketed events (such as Banana Social or Seasons) running from the venue, which are already selling fast. Opening events ran over the weekend drew massive crowds. Despite the massive venue, it gets packed pretty quickly. Over fourteen nights and finishing off with a bang on New Years Day, Ice Cream Factory is sure to be the destination of the summer.
