ELK BELL TO LAUNCH NEW LP AT FLY BY NIGHT

ELK BELL TO LAUNCH NEW LP AT FLY BY NIGHT

After her debut in 2011, Elk Bell returns in 2017 with her new album Republica d’fantAsia.

Inspired by local indie alternative/folk popsters and artists from further afield, her album is described as “a bewitching concoction of pure melody, brooding piano and sweet vocals with dark and dangerous lyrics about desire, fulfilment and loss.” Republica d’fantAsia is the successor to Elk Bell’s debut album Superfragilistic, released in September 2011--a highly successful album that became a feature album on RTR and entered CMJ’s Top 200 in the US.

Republica d’fantAsia will be released on Friday the 29th of September alongside local legend Hugh Jennings’ (Autopilot, End of Fashion) new solo album, supported by The Belle Ends.

The dual album launch is on the 29th of September at the Fly by Night Club at Victoria Hall. Elk Bell’s set at 9pm will be hearing impaired friendly with an interpreter from the WA deaf society.
