Always an esteemed event in the yearly social calendar, the night was commenced with the premier screening of the truly uplifting and remarkable true story, A United Kingdom.

A full house, guests were treated continuously throughout the night. Catering by the superb ladies of Gourmet Coaster provided traditional British food which left everyone satisfied.

Live music by Timothy Nelson was an extra treat that really set the tone for the evening, complementing the atmosphere and the excitement for the start of this highly regarded festival.

The film itself was a beautiful tale of love, freedom and family, with superb performances from the two main stars Rosamund Pike and David Oyelowo. Overall, the commencement of such an exciting opportunity for Perth film-goers was a delightful evening that intrigued its audience for what is to come in the following weeks.
