Hey Perth, get HOOKED* up with quality product by Curtin's emerging artists this August
Have you been suffering from severe art-based withdrawals? Are you craving for that sweet, sweet, high of owning beautiful (but affordable) art pieces by university fine arts students? That's... oddly specific, but don't you worry bro, we got you.
As a fundraiser for their end-of-year graduation show, fine arts students from Curtin University will be hosting "HOOKED*: Quality Cuts of Curtin's Emerging Artists", a week-long salon-style art exhibition. A meaty (see what I did there) celebration of the fine arts, HOOKED* will be showcasing a range of unique, up-and-coming works by 35 talented, burgeoning young artists in WA. Held at what used to be butchers factory in Swansea Street, East Victoria Park called the "Koolroom", fresh art pieces - which comprise of both commercial and contemporary prints, paintings, collages, sculptures, drawings etc. - will be hung from hooks, all-framed and ready for you to bring home and show your friends just how cultured you are. With prices ranging nicely between $40 to $150, art enthusiasts would be mincing with glee at how pork-choppingly affordable they are! BUTCHER-RELATED PUNS!
For more details, join their facebook event, and make sure you mosey on down to HOOKED* on their opening night, Friday August 7.
