UNI HACK: Downloading Undownloadable Lectures (UWA Version)
Some lecturers are just plain fucking buttholes. Like, not embracing the awesome technology we have, like being able to download lectures, not just stream them.
It takes a special kind of dick to opt-out of letting students download the lectures, for later viewing. I know I'd rather use UWA's internet than my home's to download 150mb 'disposable' files.
So, if your lecturer has chosen to not allow you to download the lectures, there is a simple hack. Click on 'Play' and then a new URL will open in the address bar. Then simply add this /media.m4v?downloadOnly=true to the end of the new URL.
DOWNLOADED, or so it would have, last semester.
It appears now the magicians in the capture system have attempted to do something, now you must delete the ?ec=true bit from the end, and then copy /media.m4v?downloadOnly=true to the end.
Meanwhile, let us know which food places near the campus which have blossomed in the past year to add to our little list here.
If others from the other Universities know of other methods, hit us up in the comments.
