On Saturday 26th June, just on the cusp of another lockdown, Ghost Care, with the help of Smol Fish, Claudie Joy and the Joy Boys, and Airline Food, put on a hell of a show for a full-capacity crowd at Badlands Bar.
The thing about John Butler is that he doesn’t seem at all like a celebrity. Despite the formal purpose-built space that the Perth Concert Hall provided, it was almost as if he was conversing directly with you - a genuine conversation with an old friend.
In just her second show as Julia Wallace and first with a backing band, Julia Wallace proved why she is already a world class talent, blowing away the Barbes crowd at the launch of her debut EP, Place in Mind, on the night of 8 April.

With a diverse bill of 20 of WA’s finest artists, In the Pines continues to offer something for everyone. This spectacular gathering of the state’s finest bands and people was truly one to remember.
