It was heartening to see people of all ages brought together for one plain purpose: to support Western Australian music.
Crooked Colours have just dropped their brand new single “No Sleep” via Sweat It Out and Atlantic Records ahead of their local tour in March/April, showcasing the dance potential of their sound.
WA Mixtape exemplified the excellence of the Perth music scene.
With Fringe stating that performers are not to disparage any of it’s sponsors, Patrick has begun a modern day David vs. Goliath against the mining giant Woodside.
On a hot night, somewhere (Pig Melon) in East Perth, twenty to thirty-odd people decided to cram themselves in a stuffy, extremely heated room only to be slightly cooled by a lower-powered air conditioner.

With a diverse bill of 20 of WA’s finest artists, In the Pines continues to offer something for everyone. This spectacular gathering of the state’s finest bands and people was truly one to remember.

The exchange of speechless and dazed looks between strangers among the crowd that followed is enough to articulate why Spacey Jane has become a household name throughout Australia.
All five acts were just a taste of what Platform had to offer, and it felt great to witness so many people fully behind the cause. No matter the genre, live music deserves a place – particularly when it comes to giving local artists a voice.
For weeks, we’d all been looking forward to seeing local legends such as Crooked Colours, Slumberjack, ShockOne, Reija Lee and Tina Says take to the stage.
