LIVE NATION: Machinedrum set to tour Australia this december!
Machinedrum is set to return to Australia in December. He has a bunch of summer festivals and exclusive club shows on the cards including the infamous Australia’s ‘orginal bush doof’ Earthcore, proudly presented by The Operatives. His Jack Rabbit Slim's gig (December 2nd) will no doubt be a sell out.
Machinedrum has produced some pretty impressive albums over the past 15 years. His first release coming out in 1999. This multi-instrumentalist has covered a variety of styles and collaborated with some of the greats including Sepalcure, JETS and Dream Continuum. Travis delivers his signature on every thing he touches; from his 2013 ‘Vapor City’ LP for Ninja Tune, to his production work for the likes of Azealia Banks, Jamie Liddell and Jesse Boykins II, which has made him widely recognised as a producer’s producer and a pioneer of many styles.
In 2015, Machinedrum linked with Melbourne based artists SK Simeon and Yaw Faso (formerly Yaw Mulatto) – the two have a history of innovation, exploring the spaces between dancehall, Afrobeat and bass music. The MASKYA EP, out now through Big Dada, see's the duo split the mic duties 50/50, with Machinedrum in rude health providing four rough, rugged and raw futuristic dancehall riddims to test any sound system.
We're saying YAAAAASSSSSSSS to this one. Not to be missed.
