Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus @ Red Hill Auditorium - 23/01/14
Perth’s finest prog-rock technicians will be playing at one of the most amazing if not surreal locations on the 23rd day of this sweltering month.
Yes, Karnivool will be playing at the Red Hill Auditorium, touring their latest critically acclaimed album, Asymmetry. Known for their epic, heavy, 1/1 anthems, Asymmetry sees the band further explore their sound, in true Karnivool fashion. Perth is the last stop on this tour, with support from none other than Dead Letter Circus, who released a strong follow up to their amazing debut This Is The Warning earlier in the year in The Catalyst Fire.
I have witnessed both bands in the live setting a few times, and there is a reason I keep coming back. Both Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus jump out at you sans the middle man (mp3/cd/vinyl) and it is here that you will really experience what they are.
Billed as the Polymorphism Tour, I can’t think of a better way to open up the gig books of this year than this double header in the venue shown below. Seriously, look at that!
