Kanye West has definitely created a dark album with 'Yeezus '. I feel like it will starkly polarise public opinion, but it is good to hear that he has, instead of producing a bunch of singles, taken the challenge of creating something different, which he has done quite well.

I love Aussie bands and I get especially excited when the bands have lyrics that show their love for Australia, and the Davs must have known I was coming, because they are absolutely all over it which made me very happy.

Overgrown is a fantastic follow up to his self-tited debut, indicating a slight change in direction from his usual electro-soul to a more diverse sound, weaving between his signature beats as was well as some more front and centre electronic influences.
The maturity and seeming wisdom of Marling belies her age, and accompanied with her articulate voice and clear vision of how to create interesting pieces of music, she has made what is probably one of the best albums of 2013 (Yeah, I’m calling it).

(Kurt Vile) is a much better than your average folk guitarist, he has a wonderfully drawly voice and most of all, he has song writing chops that would make Bob Dylan get all hot and flustered.

The album actually turned out to be one of the dorkiest indie pop pieces I have ever listened to, with one lyric quoting Harry Potter, saying “I solemnly swear I am up to no good.” Seriously, how lame can you get?

So this is probably the first and last album review that I’m going to do that isn’t really…well….an album at all.... Slap my arse and call me Judy if this isn’t the best damn fake album that will be released this year!
