Alex Lahey and E^ST to headline return of Aviary Rooftop Sessions

There's only less than a week left until the much-anticipated Aviary Rooftop Sessions kick off yet another chapter! The fresh 2016-17 summer program is teeming with a lineup of up-and-coming Australian talent, and will continue judiciously throughout the summer.

Come Sunday 13th November VOL.23 will feature triple j Unearthed 'Artist of the Year' nominee Alex Lahey playing her very first headline show in Perth, with special guests Iceage SugarVS and DJ NDORSE. Along with her band Animaux and producer Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Ali Barter), the lyrical prodigy has now released her EP B-Grade University – funded by the regretful sale of a beloved blue 1999 Corolla (standing as the year’s greatest Corolla-funded release). It's been a year of setting the music industry abuzz - with eminently catchy tracks 'You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me',  'Let’s Go Out' and 'Ivy League' all cementing Lahey a place as one of Melbourne's brightest musical exports.

from 4pm onwards | RSVPTickets only $10

Next in line, VOL.24 is set to see NSW's E^ST back in Perth on Sunday 27th November, amidst the on-goings of her Get Money! EP Australian tour. After uploading just one track to triple j Unearthed, she piqued the interest of the Australian industry, became the subject of a major-label bidding war, and has subsequently become a verified one-to-watch.

It's been a massive year for E^ST, too, from collaborations with Art Vs Science and Mallrat, to playing at WA's own HyperFest earlier in the year, the 18-year-old is no stranger to our sleepy shores - and has even taken to Facebook to reach out to fans in a bid to feature them in her most recent 'Screentime' music video. That being said, fans alike are more than happy to welcome her back.

Supporting E^ST will be local acts The Money War, Elli Schoen, as well as DJ NDORSE.

from 4pm onwards | RSVPTickets only $10
