Rosel cements his abilities as a Perth pop artist with new single 'Runaway'

Rosel is a Perth pop/RnB and hip hop artist, a good one at that. About two years ago he released his single ‘Night Fall’ accompanied by his EP ‘It’s Time’. Despite being good, it lacked maturity in sound. In the period of a year, it’s been clear that Rosel has grown and matured in his music and his abilities to craft a top 40 banger! Quite recently he released his single ‘Runaway’ featuring Corey Holland, cementing his abilities as a Perth pop artist, balancing a bright EQ with a dark and moody ambience, not too distant from the likes of The Weeknd and other Pop RnB artists.

According to Rosel, ‘Runaway’ is supposed to capture the feeling of ‘running away with the person you love and want to spend your life with.’ I definitely see it, in a Romeo and Juliet kind of way: nostalgic, romantic, and a little bit angsty.

On the topic of the collaborative feature of the track, Rosel says ‘after Corey Holland and I made ‘Night Fall’ two years ago, and with all the love [Nightfall] got, I had to get him back in the studio and create something to top that sound and vibe.’

Definitely a song for the top ’40s, Rosel demonstrates his understanding of the charts and current trends, by dropping a zeitgeist of a track. Go right ahead and check it out!
