Beloved Melbourne Punks The Smith Street Band Are Back With An Album And Tour

The Smith Street Band, hot on the trails of hitching a ride on the Violent Soho bongxpress on a sold out jaunt about Australia, plus European and American tours, have announced a national headliner in support of their latest LP, entitled Throw Me In The River.

The tour includes a 29th of November date at their beloved home-away-from-home the  Rosemount, and if any one of you enjoys anything about the Poison City inspired punk rock resurgence you should grab a ticket before they are unavailable. Support comes in the way of two international bands; New Jersey's The Front Bottoms and English comrades Apologies, I Have None. Both of these bands complement the energy and sound of the headline act, and you best get down early for these ones.

A Second Date at the Fremantle Railway Hotel Beer Garden on the 30th of november has been added

Throw Me In The River will be unleashed on the 31st of October, and if lead single 'Surrender' is anything to go by, their third LP looks to be building on their deliciously ferocious and urgent dynamics, plus Wil Wagner's bellowing, perfectly-unperfect, voice.

Anyway, while they are sucking you in with this new track, check out the sweet pre-order bundles available at the poison city records page and get into some sweet limited vinyl goodness!
