Kensington Police: Lovable Twits.

Kensington Police: Lovable Twits.

I was recently alerted to a twitter account under the name of @KensingtonPol. Upon reading the wall I found it was as if I was reading a book of advice from a daggy and protective uncle. There's the essential humour:

Some reference to a song no one knows to show how ready they are to party:

An inappropriate joke where you don't know if you are laughing at them or what they said:

Some essential self deprecation:

And the occasional struggle with technology/grammar:

Remember what Kensington Police? Remember what? Who knows. Anyway, if I had twitter this would be my number 1 stop at every log in. It's an illuminating look into the world of police public relations and an insight into the role of social media for the police, beyond finding out about crimes thanks to brazen fools (See http://www.ranker.com/list/15-criminals-that-bragged-just-a-bit-too-much/jf-sargent). Removing the disconnect between police and the people they serve can only be a good thing (Yes, I do advocate more dancing police).
