Only a month till The Drop Festival lands in Busselton!

When living in WA, it can sometimes feel like you’re secluded on an island with the amount of exclusive east coast tours all your favourite musical artists embark on.

However, there’s no need to fear as The Drop Festival is landing in Busselton in just over a month! Coming along to the epic surf-side festival will be golden Australian headliners such as Angus and Julia Stone, Client Liaison, Hockey Dad, The Jungle Giants and Alex The Astronaut, belting it out at Busselton’s very own Barnard Park on 1 June. (That’s right west coast FOMO, you’d best be gone.)

To get into the spirit of celebrating their soon-to-be arrival, we turned to these vibrant talents for their answer to the following question:

If you were stuck on a deserted island, what are the 3 things that would you take?

ANGUS AND JULIA STONE (answers by Julia)

  1. My best friend.

  2. My boyfriend.

  3. My brother.

Hopefully we’d find something to eat upon arrival!

CLIENT LIAISON

  1. A scaled replica of Michelangelo’s Statue Of David.

  2. Christopher Skase’s mahogany incased CD collection.

  3. Michalangelo’s actual Statue Of David.

HOCKEY DAD

In the hope that this particular island is surrounded by waves, an honest quiver would be highly appreciated. It would also have to include a reasonably conditioned copy of ‘Free Willy’ to watch on repeat around the clock. Last but not least, we’d take all of our friends and family so we aren’t the only ones stitched up on a deserted island.

THE JUNGLE GIANTS

  1. Tequila.

  2. A katana sword.

  3. 99% dark chocolate for the antioxidants, obviously.

ALEX THE ASTRONAUT

  1. Water purification tablets.

  2. Swag.

  3. Bear Grylls and his crew!

Witty answers aside, The Drop Festival 2019 is surely set to deliver — especially for those looking to dive into a sustainable day filled with community culture, phenomenal live music and the surf. To all the lovers of the ocean, douth and good music in general, this loving PSA goes out to you!
